Is a Trip to Osaka in Late August a Good Idea?

I had a great 3-day solo trip to Fukuoka in mid-June. After going on my own once, I feel a bit more courageous and am thinking about heading to Osaka this time. I’m a little nervous because of the earthquakes in Japan and was wondering if other people are still going ahead with their travel plans. I’m also curious if the weather in Osaka in late August is good for traveling.

I wouldn’t recommend it. Late August is the height of summer and also typhoon season.

I’d lean towards not recommending it since August and September are typhoon season. August is pretty much the peak season for them… It’s super hot, and you never know when a typhoon might hit. To give you an idea, Osaka was still pretty warm when I went in October. I remember having to turn on the AC in my hotel room, haha.

Honestly, if earthquakes could be predicted, don’t you think everyone living there would have evacuated already? People there are living their lives normally without any issues.
